Personal Lines Account Manager
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for processing, managing, and building relationships with customer accounts. This position is responsible for explaining personal lines insurance policies, coverages, and benefits to clients. This position provides day-to-day customer service to accounts.
Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day customer service regarding personal lines insurance changes and underwriting issues.
- Maintaining communication with clients and underwriters to service accounts.
- Issuing auto ID cards.
- Answering client’s policy and coverage questions to determine needs.
- Rounding out and/or cross selling.
- Submitting policy changes to carriers and processing the changes on the applications.
- Requesting endorsements from company underwriters.
- Reviewing policies and changes for accuracy.
- Turning in claims and following up on the status.
- Marketing renewals, which includes reviewing upcoming renewals, preparing applications for client signature, and uploading applications to company website. Responding to underwriters who have additional questions.
- Performing file reviews prior to renewal.
- Processing daily activities in EPIC for maintenance issues or concerns.
- Invoicing personal lines accounts and handling accounting discrepancies.
- Collecting past-due premiums accounts.
- Processing barcode sheets and scanning all work completed.
- Assisting in any special projects.
- All other duties as assigned.
·Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree; or
- One (1) year to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Tennessee Property and Casualty license or willingness and ability to obtain one within four (4) months of employment. Must retain license by completing continuing education requirements as required.
